Bridging the Gap between Past and Present

I spent some time recently in the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center’s Resource Room – a digital library of sorts that provides visitors to Gettysburg with a few different tools to research Civil War history, especially that of family members. While the Resource Room has existed since the Visitor Center opened in 2008, the Gettysburg Foundation has recently partnered with Ancestry.com to bolster the library’s capabilities of linking military data with family history.
