2017 was a great year in Gettysburg! We experienced 100 Nights of Taps in Soldiers’ National Cemetery. We got a taste of the first annual Bounty of the County culinary event. We welcomed two new hotels – the Best Western and the Holiday Inn Express and Suites. And as always, the battlefield and countryside landscapes were beautiful to witness season after season. But the best part of 2017 was getting to see all of the amazing ways our visitors enjoyed Gettysburg through the photos and stories that you share on social media. Take a look back at 2017 with this video we compiled using your awesome pictures!
We are excited to see what is in store for 2018. Be on the lookout for a new meeting and events venue at The Inn at Herr Ridge, expected to be finished this spring. Hollabaugh Bros. Fruit Farm & Market is planning a Bees & Blossoms event for the spring that will feature wagon rides, kids activities and food. This event coincides with the blossoming of thousands of acres of apple trees across Adams County. And the Civil War Tails Diorama Museum is planning an expansion – it will double its current size and will unveil a new diorama this spring. Here’s to 2018!
